Colibri Quasar Humidor 16" Black

The Colibri Quasar was inspired by the hobnail pattern on the vintage 1960s Colibri Moletric lighter and gets its name from the mysterious sources of light and energy that emanate from the farthest galaxies of the universe.

“We wanted to produce a humidor that would go beyond the storage box,” said Colibri Marketing & Creative Director, James Miudo via a press release. “One that would be an object of beauty, a sort of dream house for fine cigars. Innovative design has been the cornerstone of our brand since 1928, and today, we’re compelled to build on that legacy. In order to do this right, we also knew that we needed a partner with supreme expertise in the field, an unwavering standard for quality and an appreciation for impeccable design. We were thrilled when Daniel Marshall understood our vision and immediately accepted the challenge.”

“We constructed the exterior from Honduran mahogany and lined the interior with untreated Spanish cedar, which works in concert with our unique construction to enable fine cigars to become ‘alive’,” said Marshall. “To create the multi-dimensional contours of the exterior, we had to manufacture a custom carbide cutter to produce the four-sided pyramid shapes. We then finished the exterior with a matte black lacquer. Careful and thoughful attention goes into each step in our process. From start to finish, each humidor we construct will have passed 175 individual and delicate procedures.”

The 125-count humidor will have its humdification regulated by Daniel Marshall’s self-regulating humidification system, and each unit will come with a unique serial number.
